If you are new to mediumship, you may wonder what a reading is actually like. You may imagine something vague, mysterious, or overly spiritual, but evidential mediumship is meant to feel clear, compassionate, and grounded.
At Heart & Spirit, my work is centered on evidential mediumship, which means I focus on bringing through specific details that help identify the loved one in spirit who is coming forward. These details may include personality traits, relationships, memories, meaningful objects, phrases, habits, life experiences, or messages that feel personal to you.
The intention is not to make broad statements or offer general advice. The intention is to provide meaningful evidence of connection so you can feel comforted, supported, and reminded that love continues.

What Makes Mediumship Evidential?
Evidential mediumship is different from a general spiritual reading because the focus is on validation.
Rather than asking you for information, I allow the connection to unfold and share what I receive. If I ask a clarifying question during a session, I only ask for a simple yes or no answer. This allows me to keep bringing through the details instead of having you explain the situation or fill in the blanks.
This matters because the goal is for the information to come through clearly and naturally. You do not need to tell me who you hope to hear from, how they passed, or the details of your relationship beforehand.
What Kind of Information May Come Through?
Every reading is different because every loved one communicates in their own way.
Some loved ones come through with strong personality traits. Others may bring forward a memory, a phrase, a relationship, a familiar habit, or something symbolic that only you would understand. Sometimes the information is clear right away. Other times, a detail may make more sense after the session when you have had time to reflect or speak with family.
I typically also sense information around how someone passed. When that comes through, I share it gently and respectfully, with the intention of bringing validation, understanding, and peace.
Mediumship Is Not About Fear
Mediumship is often misunderstood. It is not meant to feel frightening, dramatic, or overwhelming.
For me, mediumship is a heart-centered connection. It is not about predicting your future, telling you what to do, or creating fear. It is about offering a compassionate space where messages, memories, and love can be felt again.
Many people come to a reading because they are grieving, missing someone deeply, or hoping for reassurance that their loved one is still close. A reading cannot take away the pain of loss, but it can offer comfort, clarity, and a reminder that the bond you shared still matters.
What Can You Expect During a Reading?
During a mediumship reading, I will share the information I receive with care and honesty. You are welcome to respond with yes, no, or I do not know. You do not need to explain or give me background information.
If something does not make sense in the moment, that is okay. Sometimes information becomes clear later. The best thing you can do is stay open, listen, and allow the session to unfold naturally.
A reading may bring emotion, peace, laughter, tears, or quiet recognition. Each session is different, but my intention is always the same: to create a calm and respectful space where you feel supported.
Is Mediumship the Same as Intuitive Guidance?
Mediumship and intuitive guidance are connected, but they are not the same.
A mediumship reading focuses on connecting with loved ones in spirit and bringing through evidence, messages, and comfort.
An intuitive guidance session focuses more on you, your current life, your emotions, your questions, and the patterns or direction surrounding your path. It is a supportive space for clarity, self-trust, and deeper connection with your own inner knowing.
Some clients come for mediumship because they want to feel close to someone they love. Others come for intuitive guidance because they are seeking clarity, perspective, or support in their own life.
What If You Are Skeptical?
Skepticism is welcome. You do not need to believe anything specific before a session. It is completely okay if something does not immediately make sense or resonate.
That said, a reading works best when the space is respectful in both directions. If something does not fit, you can simply say no or I do not know, and we will continue. You do not need to challenge, explain, or correct in detail during the session, because that can interrupt the flow of the connection.
The purpose of the reading is not to force belief. It is to create space for meaningful connection, comfort, and validation.
The Heart of This Work
To me, evidential mediumship is about love, connection, and reassurance.
It is about the details that remind you of your person. The memories that bring a smile. The messages that offer peace. The feeling that, even though someone is no longer physically here, the love you shared has not disappeared.
At Heart & Spirit, each session is held with compassion, honesty, and respect. My intention is to help you feel connected, supported, and at peace.
You are not alone.
Love continues.
And connection can still be felt.
